Fishing the Wild West TV October 2025 Newsletter

The 10th season of Fishing the Wild West TV is complete!

We wrapped up the 10th season of Fishing the Wild West TV (FtWWTV) on October 4th. Although the season and episodes were a success, the season did come with some challenges. There was some additional video work, appearances, and network commitments tied to the season to support the milestone year. However, the biggest challenges came from the spring fires in the northern portion of the provinces. Due to the fires and some road closures, our schedule was continuously changing throughout the year, and on many occasions, schedule changes were happening day-to-day. Obviously, nothing compared to what the northern communities were going through, but still very challenging for us. However, we were able to switch gears quickly and completed shooting 13 great episodes along with all our other commitments.

We had an incredible season catching a variety of freshwater and saltwater fish species with the Fishing the Wild West TV Signature Series rods from Streamside rods & reels, including catching a new lodge record northern pike at Stockman’s Lodge, in northern Saskatchewan. The FtWWTV truck and Tracker Boat saw 28,000 kilometres (17,400 miles) of highways and back roads and fished waterbodies from Manitoba to British Columbia.

It is always a pleasure seeing the U.S. companies we work with and the individuals we consider great friends within those companies at ICAST 2025, July 15-18. And some more amazing news came out of ICAST for FtWWTV. Following our network meetings at ICAST in Orlando, FL, we will be added to all major Smart TV apps. At this time, I don’t have any official numbers, but we were told we will reach an additional 139M TVs. This is slated for mid-November. Starting January 2026, FtWWTV will also be airing on all Pattison Media channels from British Columbia and across the prairie provinces. This is all in addition to Sportsman’s Channel, Sportsman’s Channel Canada, World Fishing Network (WFN), Wild TV, and My Outdoors TV (MOTV).

I recently attended the CSI Fall Dealer Show in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on October 7-8, to help support the event and the companies we work with. It always amazes me to see the work and dedication put in behind the scenes by so many to get the products we need for the hunting and fishing seasons. My next stop will be the Caribou Show, October 27-28, in Edmonton, Alberta. I will get a short break to do a little deer and elk hunting, then it’s right into the Sports Show season, where I have been booked at a variety of Canadian and U.S. shows to give fishing seminars on the show’s Outdoor Stage.

We are grateful to all the companies we work with, and the phone calls, emails, texts, and all the kind words of encouragement were greatly appreciated as we navigated through the challenging conditions while shooting season 10 of Fishing the Wild West TV.

We at Fishing the Wild West TV would like to thank everyone for their words of encouragement and your time, and support.
