Fishing the Wild West TV October 2024 Newsletter

Fishing the Wild West TV has had a busy but great 2024 season. Shooting season 9 of Fishing the Wild West TV has gone extremely well and at the time of this email, we have some loose ends to finish, but all episodes are complete. Now the editing, network delivery, and office work begins, and bookings for 2025 sports shows and other engagements.

2025 will be Fishing the Wild West TV’s 10th season on a variety of networks and I have already had multiple meetings with the networks about extra episodes and promotional material for season 10. The networks are very excited about it and truthfully, so are we. I am truly flattered by the support and encouragement we are and have been receiving! Thank you all for your time and support!

Shooting season 9 came with a few challenges. During May and early June, we dealt with crazy winds throughout Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The Mock-9 winds seemed to follow us wherever we went. This made shooting episodes a greater challenge, but we pulled it off. In August, we dealt with some smoke delays in northern Saskatchewan due to the forest fires. The smoke became so thick that we aired on the side of caution and put safety first and had to cut one shooting of a northern Saskatchewan episode short. However, we still managed to get a great episode.

From the smoke into the rain. During a shoot in Manitoba, we had to outrun the thunder, lightning, and rain and were forced to put the cameras away for 22 hours. Despite a few challenges, we had an amazing season. We fished at some beautiful locations, met a ton of great people, and shot some amazing episodes. Thank you to everyone we had a chance to meet and talk with for your kind words and encouragement.

The Fishing the Wild West TV Planogram Project had a very successful 1st year. I have had a variety of phone meetings with a ton of positive feedback and the Fishing the Wild West TV Planogram Project will be moving forward in 2025, with several additional convenience store locations coming on across western Canada for the 2nd year of the project. An in-person meeting is set for October 29, at the Cariboo Outdoor Show, in Edmonton, Alberta, to confirm the details of the 2025 project.

Being invited to the Westlock Powersports & Marine (WPM) 10th anniversary in Westlock, Alberta was an honour. Westlock Powersports & Marine is a well-known Tracker Boat, Ranger Boat, and Powersports dealer throughout Alberta and neighbouring provinces. Westlock Powersports & Marine celebrated their 10th anniversary on Saturday, October 5th, with an all-day event which included incredible showroom deals, a $10,000 giveaway, BBQ, and Bob Izumi and I talking everything fishing with countless people who attended the event.

Congratulations to Westlock Powersports & Marine on 10 years of amazing service, community, and everything outdoors support. I look forward to the 20th anniversary!

I’m in the early stages of organizing a Kids Can Catch event in my hometown of Airdrie, Alberta. My goal is to grow the event to an annual event to promote fishing and get more youth involved in fishing and the outdoors. All Fishing the Wild West TV sponsors will be represented in this event showcasing your products and promoting your company as supporters of youth fishing organizations and events.

Bookings for the 2025 sports show & trade show season are coming in and I have been booked at a variety of Canadian and U.S. shows to give fishing seminars on the Outdoor Stage. Your products and how to use them in a variety of conditions will be with me and front and center on stage. As the show season gets closer, I will be reaching out to you for the shows in your area in hopes we can meet for an in-person visit.

Thank you all for your time and support. If it wasn’t for you, Fishing the Wild West TV would not be possible.
